Barrow Erosion

Over the lockdown period we’ve had a new ‘meander trail’ open up along the western edge of the woods, from the seat heading south. Unfortunately, this is causing some damage to the Bronze Age barrow that was excavated in 2007/8 and the top of the barrow is starting to erode. To remedy the situation, a few volunteers have blocked the path and added some new signs.

Coronavirus – AGM Cancelled

Following contact from the SESC  who are closing the Centre until further notice and details of continuing restrictions on meetings, the Committee has decided to cancel the upcoming AGM.
Whilst the current situation remains somewhat chaotic with advice, we do not anticipate any meetings being possible for the foreseeable future.

Litter Pick – Postponed

Given the high winds predicted for tomorrow (9th Feb) we’ve decided to cancel the litter pick. New date to be confirmed soon.

Update – Unfortunately, we’re also going to have to cancel this weekend (16th Feb) as there’s another storm on the way.
